Clear Quartz Straw

The stone that runs watches, keeps time in sonar systems, and has been carried by humans for 40,000 years. Hand-selected clear quartz, sealed inside a reusable borosilicate glass straw. Pick it up, drink, carry on.

The Stone

Clear quartz is pure silicon dioxide (SiO₂). Mohs hardness 7. Completely water-safe. The most abundant mineral on Earth's surface, and one of the oldest materials humans have deliberately shaped. Stone Age tool caches across Europe and Australia contain worked quartz dating back tens of thousands of years. Roman nobility carved it into drinking vessels. They believed it kept water cold.

Clear quartz is piezoelectric: apply mechanical pressure and it generates a measurable electric charge. That property powers quartz watches, sonar transducers, and radio oscillators.

In crystal healing traditions, clear quartz is called the "master healer." Where rose quartz maps to the heart and amethyst to the third eye, clear quartz covers all seven chakras. It's treated as a broad amplifier. Clarity, intention, focus — no narrow lane.

Each piece varies. Some are water-clear. Others carry faint wisps or subtle cloudiness. A perfectly transparent crystal and a slightly milky one are both authentic quartz.

The Design

The crystal sits inside a sealed section of the glass straw. Your drink flows around it without contacting it directly. No loose stones in open drinkware, no hygiene concerns. The quartz stays visible with every sip.

How to Use It

Drop it in your glass. Drink. That's it.

If you want to use it with intention: pause before your first sip. Pick one word for the day. Clarity, patience, focus. Japanese tradition calls quartz suishou, the "perfect jewel." Scottish clan healers carried quartz "charm stones" for centuries. People have been holding this mineral and setting intentions with it for a long time. The straw just keeps it in your hand.

Works in water, iced tea, smoothies, cocktails. Anything you'd drink through a glass straw.

Why Clear Quartz

Neutral. No strong colour association, no single-purpose meaning. Rose quartz says "love." Amethyst says "calm." Clear quartz says "whatever you need." That makes it the easiest piece in the collection to reach for. Pairs with any glass, any drink, any mood. Also the easiest crystal to gift because it requires zero explanation.

If you already work with crystals, clear quartz is the amplifier you pair with other stones. Use the Rose Quartz Straw on heart days and switch to clear quartz when you want broader focus. Rotate them. That's the point.

More on the stone itself: clear quartz meaning and properties.

Care

Rinse with warm water after each use. Run the included brush through the interior. Hand washing keeps it in the best shape. Dishwasher works too, top rack only.

Check the straw occasionally. Borosilicate is strong, but any glass straw with a visible chip or crack should be retired.

The sealed crystal needs no maintenance. If energetic cleansing is part of your practice, moonlight and sound both work through the glass. No disassembly required.

Avoid extreme temperature swings. Don't move the straw directly from a freezer to boiling liquid.

What You're Getting

A reusable glass straw with a sealed, chemically inert crystal inside. Quartz has been in human hands for longer than recorded history. This is just a newer way to carry it.
